Winter vines and bamboo fires

The vineyards have all turned to their winter sepia colours now and many of the vines have been pruned back to the dark wood. This is the time of year when the vignerons burn the bamboo which grows near the streams and in the ditches between the parcelles of vines, to stop it spreading everywhere.
