Stranded

While out for a walk today I noticed only the occasional flyover as usually there are a lot more, especially at this time of year. This flight was one of the lucky ones.

My heart goes out to all those unfortunate enough to be stuck in airports across Europe, unsure if they will get home for Christmas. Dublin Airport closed again this evening as a fresh snow fall makes it too dangerous for planes to take off or land.

However some friends of ours made it home from the US and from the UK, they happened to be steeped with good luck.

We must be better prepared for this weather in the future, especially at the airports.
