Mum's button box

Did/does your Mum have a button box?

Still going through stuff from Dad's, untouched since Mum died 20 years ago.
Some of these buttons, particularly the glass ones, date back to WW2.
Some I remember, but I never knew any one of us to have yellow buttons on anything, yet there they are, cut off something [thread still in some of the holes] and saved... and a whole new card of them too. I guess Mum liked yellow buttons.

The tin originally held Cadbury's choc biscuits, the picture on the lid is c.1950.
