The Garden Route Dam
Full, at last!
After good showers over the past weeks, the level of the dam climbed steadily to a point where it was close to its limit.
Last night we had a sudden mini-cloudburst, if there is something like that - and this morning the dam was full to the extent where water was allowed to flow out.
We are thankful and grateful and hope that water restrictions may soon be lifted.
Our indoor stoep (veranda area) was flooded in two seconds during last night's deluge, but the mud, dust and leaves were quickly taken care of early this morning.
Thanks to Lindy for this image. She and her Dad too a quick walk to the Dam to visualize what we expected to be.
