It'll be a Christmas miracle...

So this is going to be the first Christmas in my 31 years that I will not be with my family. *gasp*

So I decided that in the spirit of the season, and in celebration of my heritage, I would try my hand at making the traditional christmas pernil. Delicious Puerto Rican style pork. I then proceeded to run my mouth about it, so two people at work have threatened me with bodily harm if I do not bring them some.

And so here it is. It's going in the fridge to stew in it's delicious juices until I pop it in the oven Friday morning. I had no recipe. Simply a list of ingredients, a loose set of directions, and my memories from helping Mom make it.

I do not cook often, but I usually cook well. So here's to hoping I didn't mess this up.
