Sunset Over The Sea Of Crises.
Across a quarter-of-a-million miles of interplanetary space, our nearest neighbour looks close enough to touch; the battered surface of the Moon a witness to the violent early history of the solar system. Her southern hemisphere is dominated by the ray system of the crater Tycho, an impact scar three million years old - as young as the evolutionary history of Homo sapiens.
Taken with the camera flush against the eyepiece of my trusty 30 year-old 10x50 binoculars balanced precariously on the kitchen window sill, and a lot of patience.
