These people have run out of maize and this queue is formed outside the goverment storage facility at Mzuzu, run by Admarc.
The maize price has increased by 50% in the past month. We are told that this to deter traders from making a profit!!

I went to Sonda to see this well which I will fix. I met the chief,he said that peple are now walking 2 km to find water and this time the water in their unprotected well is very dirty due to the rains.
The queues for maize are now longer.
