Sweet

My favourite episode of the Big Bang Theory focusses on Christmas presents. Sheldon, socially awkward genius, discovers that Penny, socially savvy non-genius, has gotten him a Christmas present. He feels the need to reciprocate, but not knowing the value of her gift, he buys about 12 gift baskets of different values at Bath & Bodyworks (or similar) so that when she'll present the gift to him, he can pretend to have bowel issues, run to his room, assess the value of her gift and return with an equally valuable basket.

When she gives him a napkin Leonard Nimoy not only signed, but also used ("Do you know what this means? All I need is a healthy ovum and I can grow my own Leonard Nimoy!") he runs to his room and returns with ALL gift baskets and piles them on Penny.

We received a sweet, sweet package today that, while not containing any Leonard Nimoy DNA, made me wish I had a stack of gift baskets to give back, and not that tiny little package that actually IS on its way. I called it "sweet, sweet" on purpose because not only the contents are sweeeeeeeet (oh, heavenly marsepein!, oh, holy dropjes!) the people that send it to us are even sweeter.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go bury myself and maybe swim around in my goodies before the Beloved gets home and wants his share ;)
