the cake

It is so beautiful at the moment in the Lake District - the snow covered hills frame the vista in every direction. I am itching to get out in them...

But there is still work to go to, children to care for (including the 'getting better but still not 100% and therefore does not want to go outside' Sienna) and this afternoon a wee party to be had. Friends brought over their three year olds who devoured this cake - which was given to us by my lovely Mother-in-law.

For my sanity I am hoping those hills will still be there tomorrow...!
