Thwarted!

Out in Brighton today with our friend Ann, who I've known for over twenty years and who is a lovely person. We met in a restaurant in Hove and had a good chinwag for nigh on three hours. We haven't seen each other since last Christmas but hopefully we will meet up sooner rather than later in the coming year. I always intend to do that with my friends but it's amazing how often it doesn't happen.

After saying goodbye to Ann, Marianne & I went to the Royal Pavillion ice rink to photograph the skaters with the Pavillion as a backdrop. We asked if it was okay to take photos and were told that we could take as many as we liked - marvelous! Out we went, only to find that it was impossible to get near the rink and we were sideways on to the Pavillion. The only practical place to photograph from was the ice. I took this shot of the onion domes as it was all I could get, as the other side of the Pavillion wasn't illuminated. Oh well.
