Glitter Tulips...

Has anyone noticed this festive "trend" for adorning / enhancing real flowers with glitter...???

What is that all about???!!!

I hate it. I think it is artificial, naff and crass-looking.

Flowers are naturally beautiful and do not need this type of embellishment, in my opinion. Remember that old 80s advert for soap about not perfumed, not coloured, just kind, etc? Why would you spray perfume (or glitter) on real flowers?

I was given these yesterday by my work for me leaving my job. At first, when I noticed the red glitter, I thought they were fake.

Ahhh well, it's the thought that counts.
