When the weather was still good..

at the start of the day. I had a pretty good trip up until Freiburg, where I had lunch at the Christmas market. After I left there, it was still ok, but when I got north of Heidelberg the weather got worse and worse, until I ended up in heavy snow storms and I had to stop my journey before reaching Cologne (where I had planned to stay the night). Luckily I found a hotel near the highway, and could stay there the night.
