Snowflake Bokeh

I decided to take the bokeh technique to another level and made a snowflake filter with the help of Mrs. Greene and her treasure trove of crafting supplies. It turns out that she has a collection of paper die cutters, one of which is in the shape of a snowflake.

By fashioning a filter out of black contruction paper I was able to achieve the above effect by photographing our Christmas tree lights with a wide open aperture and a fully racked out zoom.
