Bleak Mid-winter

Everything is so quiet! There's almost no traffic (apart from a few foolhardy folks I saw sliding down Bristol's steep hills), and the snow muffles sound so effectively. And it's pretty! But everything else about it is a right pain in the nuisance and I wish it would hurry up and melt!
