Decorating the Tree
This morning while getting the boys ready for school, Landon decided he wanted to wear a tie. So I sent him to school in his little white button-up uniform shirt and a tie. He proudly walked into class sporting his new look. I was going to choose that as my blip photo but another opportunity came along.
Gary stayed home from work not feeling well, but all of a sudden felt better when he realized that we could go to Chuck's for breakfast without kiddos! We enjoyed a breakfast together for the first time in months. He's up at 3:30 in the a.m. and out of the door around 4, so we never see each other in the mornings normally. We took advantage of that opportunity today, feeling well or not.
He headed home and I headed out to surprise the boys with a Christmas tree in their bedroom for the first time. I went to a local tree lot to find a tabletop tree and bought it and then headed to Michaels to get a few things for it. When they came home from school they were excited with the surprise.
Tonight I decorated our tree with the boys. Gary made a point to be at a little league board meeting when we decorated the tree. Well, not really, but that always seems to happen that he's gone during that part. He put the tree up and hung the lights, so I suppose it worked out for the both of us. We both kind of stress during the tree decorating part. There tends to be a bit of wildness and arguing about who gets to hang what and where...so it makes me nervous with the breakable ones. It went pretty smoothly tonight and so I chose that as my blip photo :)
