Saturday Snow

There was more snow overnight. I thought it would be prudent to leave for work early. A good 15/20 mins clearing the car, and I got on the road half an hour early. The trip that normally takes about 25/30 mins took 45, as I was being careful. No difficulties, just driving according to conditions.

Got to front work car park... one car was stuck going in, one was stuck coming out. I decided not to even bother trying, and drove on hoping for a space by the side of the road. Nothing much happening, so decided to turn up a side-street to turn... went too far, and got stuck. Not impressed, but 2 randoms did come out of their houses to help me, which kinda re-affirmed my faith in the human condition. Got going again, and decided to try the back car park at work. The barriers were up, which I took as a good sign... until I realised they were up from the night before. I got stuck again, for another 20 mins... I ended up being an hour late for work, so had to stay on til half 3. Still, free breakfast was nice :-D

Mathew came to rescue the car while I was at work, then came back to pick me up. Had some food, then bought some Christmassy stuff, then home for a night in! This is the view from the bedroom window... condensation = nippy out, but toasty in!
