Frosty Falcon
Had a great wee walk at lunchtime through the frost and ice crystals that had formed on everything. Ended up at a falconry place where the birdies were out enjoying the sunshine and crispy air.
There's something not right seeing birds that should be soaring free tethered to a post, but I suppose they serve a purpose to educate people in some way and they are fantastic to look at close up.
Helen (our bugs n beasties specialist) and I, thought this little one was a Merlin. Should have asked the falcon lady. I might go back and try for some flight shots as they look much better when they are flying free, if only for a few minutes.
