A rose in snow

I wasn't sure whether to blip this image or the tighter crop but I've gone with this as I liked the lampost in the background. I nearly blipped a cliche especially for Sarah - she just loves images of birds. This is a rose in the front garden rather than the one I'm forever blipping which is in the back garden.

In other news - no new snow yet but the old stuff is enough to stop me going anywhere. Just about to make a lamb casserole with suet dumplings - they will be proper suet dumplings with real suet rather than vegetarian suet; I just cannot get my arms around how suet might come from vegetables. Yes, it's winter warming comfort food but what's the point of being snowed in if I can't eat what I want?
