Through the glass darkly

Well, we've a bit of snow here in Bedfordshire, enough to cause traffic chaos so we're wrapped up nice and snug indoors, which is a bit of a shame as tonight should have been The School Staff Xmas Social, ho hum, we'll have to organise it again for the new year.
