Lavender blue...

In Australia, there is a term of endearment (or ridicule, depending on your view) for redheads: "Blue".

So ingrained in the national psyche is this, that when Richard Branson launched his Australian version of Virgin airlines, he called it "Virgin Blue" - because the brand is predominantly red - as are the planes!

When hubby and I visited a delightful lavender farm in country Victoria, I had to get him (a redhead) posing in the field of blue.

Quite something, if I say so myself!
