party...

we had a great time at my uncle's 60th birthday party tonight...lots of dancing, good food and his friends had traveled from far and wide to help him celebrate which was ace.

...the best part of the evening for me, though, were the six sky lanterns drifting off into the freezing black sky - one for each decade of his life. they are lovely, and there's something very peaceful about them.
