All I want...is to make ends meet!

Having got a day off today, I decided it was time to let the benefits agency know that I have a job and wish to cancel my claims.

Sadly this now means I am worse off than I was on benefits as I don't work enough hours (two hours short!) to get help with my (not inconsiderable) prescription costs and yet I earn slightly too much to get any help with my Council Tax charges!

I have to say I can see why some people don't bother trying very hard to find a job...it has been a most frustrating day!

Still, I like the fact that I am once again supporting myself, even if it does mean I will be tightening the proverbial belt a bit more!
