Scones

Trying to back-blip for yesterday, hopefully it will work!

Another snow day off school today, the forecasts really were true!! So, we were stuck in the village with no sign of any plough or gritter. Just as well we are well stocked up in the cupboards!

Still waiting on many parcels arriving in the post, unlikely now that they will arrive in time - but, what can you do?!

Part of my day was spent baking scones, which after many years trying to bake proper scones and them having more in common with grenades; I have cracked it and can now bake proper, light, fluffy scones! Yay!

The evening was spent with friends huddled around an old oil drum blazing hot, sipping on mulled wine, celebrating a birthday; while snow gently fell all around us and the moon shone brightly. Quite magical!
