Sofi Oksanen

Wikipedia: Sofi Oksanen (born January 7, 1977) is a Finnish contemporary writer. She was born in Jyväskylä. Her father is Finnish and her mother is Estonian. So far, Oksanen has published three novels, one an international best seller and a play. She has received several awards for her literary work.

Sofi Oksanen´s bestselling novel Purge is a chilling drama of two generations of women, set in wartime 1940?s Estonia during the Soviet occupation, and in the same country in the 90´s as it grapples with the realities of a new Europe.
