Hanging on for Christmas

What a glorious winter day it is today. The sun is shining, and, amazingly, we have had no more snow. The black ice is pretty terrifying, even on foot, but I had a lovely walk into the village this morning. In M's garden these apples are still hanging on and have not yet been devoured by the blackbirds.

I like the colours in the apples which are set off by the grey/blue sky.
