Cloud column
Looking out of the windows this morning I could almost be in two different worlds. Looking towards the South Downs over towards Arundel dark, heavy snow clouds blanket the hills. But, looking towards the sea from the front windows there is blue sky with low cloud. In their midst was this 'anvil' cloud (I think) in the shape of a column which looks like it is exploding out of the lower layers of cloud. It was quite short-lived and I was lucky to catch it.
One lone kite surfer was out on the choppy sea. I am constantly amazed by the tenacity and bravery of these guys. Sometimes in the most horrendous winds and weather they are out there taking advantage of the high waves.
