Clear desk

I go into our offices every other Friday.

This is what is euphemistically called a 'hot' desk. It is where I work every other Friday. Take out time for meetings etc and I only spend about 2 hours sat at it.

Personally I like the complete lack of clutter. All we seem to need nowadays are portals, (audio - phone; data visual - laptop).

But don't forget the power of the human, rich in language, initiative, instinct and reason.

Mind you this desk is vast compared to the one I work from at home. I have managed to work relatively productively on a desk 140cm x 60cm for nearly three years and bear in mind I have a 24" iMac on that.

Sure I miss some things but I can honestly say that my work life and non work life are far better balanced.
