The Bat's revenge.

This was pretty much an amazing evening. As sort of a Christmas gift, I took Jake to the opera. It was his first opera, and mine as well. We saw Die Fledermaus, a comedic operette in German. It was amazing. The building was amazing, the show was awesome, the singers were great, I was impressed with the sets and how quickly they were changed between acts, AND we managed to land pretty amazing seats [considering what I paid for them].... on the main floor, in the fifth row, off to the right side of the stage. This photo was taken during an intermission when we decided to go up to the third balcony and see the entire theater. Our empty seats are visible, if you squint. It was hard to pick just ONE photo, since I took many from many places in the building. When the show was over, it was pouring in the streets of Chicago but I didn't care. I enjoyed it. Great night. When I arrived home really late, I had a long late-night phone call that allowed me to go to bed in a very good mood.
