The beach at sundown

Absolutely freezing today with a biting wind. Wrapped up warm and headed off to Prestatyn beach for a long walk with the dogs, There were a few others who had braved the elements. The sea was surprisingly calm with gentle waves and there was a beautiful light

On the way back up the beach I noticed a gathering of people on the slip way, they had gathered there at the spot where a family member had died a couple of days ago tragically from hypothermia while attempting to swim after his dingy in freezing waters.

It was very sad, I walked around them so as not to intrude on their grief.

Got back to the car with rosy cheeks and freezing hands, back home for a nice cuppa before tea.
