As I type this I've spotted a pair of scissors at the edge of the largest of the three tables. They'll have to be shifted. He can only reach the shortest table from the ground at the moment but it's only a couple of inches further down. Likewise anything reachable from the edge of the sofa cushion, where he was plonked for this but where he was briefly able to remain under his own power. Hopefully he'll work on his balance and recovery a bit before attempting to reach for anything too high-up as he's fallen sideways several times today, lightly clonking himself athwart the head each time. Also on the make-safe list will be the cot, the bars of which he has taken to gnawing but whose rail he occasionally grabs and pops his head above, though seemingly without any inclination to attempt to lever himself over it. Yet. He's asleep in it now (and in his own room, which made for slightly better sleeping last night) and will hopefully not attempt to escape overnight so that I can lower the base tomorrow evening as a prevention rather than a cure.
