Mrs. Woodpecker pays a visit :)

I do believe this is a female hairy woodpecker. There's not much difference to me between a downy woodpecker & a hairy woodpecker. I had thought it was a downy but after studying their pictures, I'm going with the hairy. (What can I say, it's a bit confusing to me) Can I just say I do think woodpeckers are one of the coolest birds around. Even though they can kind of damage a tree here & there. If you haven't heard their call, it is quite loud. Anyway, I seem to be getting back to my bird identification for winter. Hope you don't mind :)
