Foggy Trees

Went food shopping today, and as I headed up the hill the visibility went from near perfect to pea soup in the space of 100 yards. Why is it you see drivers with their fog lights on in the middle of summer, but when it is really foggy no one seemed to use them?

Probably the only day that I would soot these trees as the M25 runs about 400 yards behind them...
