Ruby beginnings

From a foot-long chunk of fuchsite which is a form of mica.
The green colouring is due to the presence of chromium.
The two pinkish red patches towards the lower edge are rubies just beginning to form.

Bit poorly sick last couple of days, so resorting to indoor shots.
Hopefully outdoors tomorrow before I go stir crazy.
