Watched a few of these tonight. Phil Silvers was a certifiable genius.
Ahhh, the joys of Cpls Henshaw and Barbella, Pvt. Doberman, Col. John T Hall and the lovely Mrs Hall ("Why, Colonel! You didn't tell me you had a daughter! Why! It's Mrs Hall...I swear you get younger every time I see you...")

I understand that some idiot made a film; Steve Martin should have been confined to barracks and never allowed a weekend pass. You can't improve on perfection.....
