Wood Duck

The temperature didn't sink to the levels predicted last night, (it's going to try again tonight), but tit was well below freezing and some of the shallower ponds had a thin skin of ice on them. The lakes in the downtown park were like a bird sanctuary, with all the usual suspects plus visitors. These included various species of gull, who were very taken aback when a train went past. It was comic to see all the residents looking at them, as they flew, screeching into the air, as if to say "It's a city, dudes, we get noise!"
This is something you don't see often in North Central Florida!
