Traditions

Yule logs to most people are a log shaped chocolate cake but traditionally they are large wooden logs which are cut and decorated with ribbon then taken home to ensure good luck in the coming year. They are burned in the hearth, usually on Christmas eve and kept burning through the 12 nights of Christmas.
