Bird's eye view of the Scottish Church
Today we were in a meeting room with a good view over the Liverpool rooftops including the derelict St Andrew's Church. I've blipped the graveyard at the front before, but I've never seen it from this angle. The main church was destroyed in a fire and, according to a work colleague, the second tower is currently in a field near Warrington awaiting restoration, while the remaining tower has been capped to protect it. There have been protracted planning issues surrounding the building and there is still no firm news about whether it can be renovated, although you can see where the Council have installed steel reinforcements.
