eating popcorn in the sun

in between emitting ear splitting screams (of pleasure or frustration), strewing rubbish all over the house and forgetting things, this youngest daughter of mine finds the time to be the happiest, sunshiniest little bunny rabbit of all time. I love her to bits, whatever mood she's in *soppy moment about to occur* it's a week til her 7th birthday and this is always an odd time of year for me. The year before she was born I was pregnant twice but both those babies stopped developing and died. We didn't expect another baby to turn up and pregnancy with this one was tough as I was always scared of not making it to 9 months with her. Well, I made it to 39 weeks and she arrived after a fairly odd but not too bad labour...and then I nearly gave up the ghost - ambulance ride, emergency operation, large loss of blood followed by infection after infection, three months of pain and many more to recover. It's a strange thing to look back on, what a close shave we had...so, pleasure is, the two of us sitting in the sun, eating freshly made popcorn, smothered in butter and sprinkled with salt...enjoying just being. Even though we are both pretty annoying people to live with :-)
