Great visit with my west end friend today. He's a sound engineer and was working on a recording as I arrived. I asked him to walk me through the process, which, woah, no wonder people go to hightech college to learn this. He's been messing with amps and gear since the 70s, so he could explain it all really clearly.

Home now, with a repeat episode of CSI Las Vegas playing in the kitchen. Today's constant rain has turned to snow, and it's only getting colder. That's okay, it will help me sink into writing for a few days.
