Santa Fun Run

Went down Southsea seafront to watch the Fun Run. Oliver wanted to take part, but soon changed his mind when I told him it was a 5Km run along the sea front. Due to his aversion to putting socks and shoes on when asked to, we actually missed the start of the race. It wasn't too long before the first of the runners reached the finish line. Luckily Santa took time out from his Christmas preperations to ride a bike and guide the runners round the course - all for a good cause, the RNLI.

I had a hard choice choosing this blip, so I put a few onto flikr so you can see a few more - including the Santa band. If anyone knows which band it is, please let me know. Oliver said they were too noisy. Baa Humbug eh!

Once the first few runners had crossed the finish line, we took a wander back along the course to encourage the rest of the runners, including a few that were 'walking' their dogs, pushing prams and the like. All in all, an excellent morning.

Ems and Ollie said they were cold, so we came home afterwards for a nice buffet lunch. Question is... What to do for the rest of the day?!
