Bad Seems-like-good-news-but-think-about-it-a little-harder-before-you-celebrate news: - Largest bust in Mexican history

A victory for President Calderon, they say, for the fight against the drug cartels. Perhaps in the very, very short run but in the long run not a victory at all. To obliterate 344 million dollars of the drug lords' income in one blink means the price of pot on the streets will go up, the drug addicts will become more desperate and one way or another the sick, crooked ballbag drug dealers and lords will make that shortage up.

After all these years of trying to fight a losing battle, the governments of the US and Mexico still doesn't get it; if you legalize marijuana you take away every ounce of power the dealers have. If pot is cheap, no one will kill for it. If you're going to be a mushbrain and smoke the stuff, you'll do so whether it's legal or illegal. No one learned anything from the fiasco that was 'prohibition'? Why does that not surprise me?

The leader of Chechnya is now, here, in 2010, finally calling for the abolishment of this hundred year old "tradition"??!!! Tradition???!! Hauling off women when they turn your wedding proposal down? Give me a break. What you call tradition is just another form of oppression of women, you Neanderthal idiots. It's just hard to believe some of this stuff sometimes, isn't it?
