Sunrise, Early in the Morning!

In an attempt to clear their backlog I was awoken early this morning (just before 7am) by the front doorbell. Such is my temperament just now that I leapt up, ran down half the stairs, fell down the rest and opened the door dazed and shellshocked. A parcel at my feet and some cheery shout that I couldn't focus on as I was sure my back was broken. My heart continued to pound for several minutes after.

Made a cup of tea and watched the sky catch fire. The colour was intense and so dramatic that I grabbed my camera for a shot.

As I leapt up this morning I grabbed the first available dressing gown. It was a treat to see my No. 1 boy appear later in a cute little pink number with his hood up.

The thaw has been incredible and everyone was out and about in their cars. I spent the morning in my supermarket, and in the afternoon, we went to take my mum to her supermarket. Dad and I stayed home and watched the horse racing - he won again he tells me, which is brilliant. Dream job - making up the names of race horses and paint colours - such fun.

Out tonight for a surprise dinner for a pal who is a big number. Looking forward to that and so glad to be missing the X-Factor Finals. Must go do my hair, nails and try to fill in a few lines on my face! Ha!
