All is illuminated

Yay, back to normal in fact slightly above freezing and feeling positively balmy! Everything has thawed including the roads, such a relief to be able to drive without being rigid with terror at the prospect of skidding off the road. A quick trip into town to buy stamps, and although the skies were mainly grey, something spectacular was going on on the horizon. Driving out it was pewter colour but coming back all was golden.
Other than that, the only piece of excitement is that Peter the sculptor has started on our fruit cage. Last year the birds dined well and we didn't, so we have commissioned Peter to make us a creative cage! He works with natural materials and metalwork and has exhibited groovy things at places like Glastonbury. Might be my blip for tomorrow.
