Deck the halls with bells of holly

I am very much a 12 days before 12 days after sort of guy.Emma is very much a 12 weeks before 12 weeks after sort of girl.

She couldn't wait any longer, so the Christmas tree went up 5 days early.

For the first time in my existence (23 Christmas's) I've had to have a fake plastic tree.  I don't like plastic trees. They look horrible, they don't smell the same and there was always something quite Christmasy about all those pine needles on the floor.

Sadly our flat is small and times are tight and the real trees over here were way out our budget (surprising really given how many trees there are in Canada).

After some lights and tinsel were put on it, it didn't look too bad.  But next year I'm going all out, a 12 foot real tree, I don't care how much it costs.
