dog afternoon

Raining all day, can't do any landscape photo, so down to the basement and do a little painting. This 8 by 10-inch painting is one of 4 sketches from a live model session last year. A before state of this piece can be seen on my art blog.

For some reason I wanted to keep the figurative elements and Sharpie marker lines untouched. Am I getting bored with totally abstract stuff? I must be watching too much of blipfoto.

Have not yet grown tired of laying thick oil paint with palette knives.
