Down by the River Rea
Another pretty day! Lots of photos later.... Wintery walks
This bridge is built on an angle and in this picture does look a bit lopsided - but it is actually pretty straight, it's an optical illusion. I think the kissing trees in the forefront do obscure a major part of the bridge support which does run parallel with the frame. Also from the river bank where I took this picture it wasn't possible to get the top of the bridge straight either because then the rest would have been about 30 degrees out.
Anyway, Watson and I enjoyed our little walk, being careful not to slip into the river where the pathway is eroding.
On the mother front, her health is improving all the time. She is supported by lots of therapists and friends. I'm stunned to find that I seem to have already sold her car and her house in Germany and agreed to buy a flat in Oxford, in a building with the name of the last village she lived in in England. Fate, it must be.
