Kalaripayattu (Kerala martial arts)

We went to an evening display of martial arts. Photography was a huge challenge, especially because the seats were all around a balcony and above the participants. I tried hard to catch close ups of faces. I'm pleased with some of the results, but this is my favourite. The man had two long sticks with flames on each end and was rotating these at speed.
