O is for Out of Order!

Crap photo today but a rant I need to have!

I've had a terrible experience over the last fortnight with a certain online retailer that has caused me a hell of a lot of stress! I won't name and shame them yet as

a) I think it's probably against blipfoto's rules
b) I'm still trying to get my money back off them and don't want to hinder my chances.

I buy a LOT off stuff online and have never had a problem before.

We've bought a LOT of Christmas presents online this year and everything turned up promptly without any trouble.

I decided to treat myself to a new lens as an Xmas present to myself. This was a big decision for me as it wasn't a small outlay. The whole bundle was £500 which to be honest I can't really afford at the moment.

All I can say is I wish I hadn't bothered as the service from this company has been diabolical! They took the money from my card immediately. Overcharged me, promised to refund the overcharge but didn't, never shipped the lens after numerous promises it was leaving the next day. The order has now been cancelled, which was a task in itself but they still have my money and are using delaying tactics to give me my £500 back!

Since ordering it I have googled the company's name and refund problems and it has come up with loads of complaints about scams and fraud by this company!! Lots of consumers are claiming they have never got their refunds!

I have spoken to my credit card company and they have reassured me if they don't refund within 30 days they will cover it, so at least I can sleep again.
