Sunset 3.51pm

We have lost the relish for the eternal drama of light and darkness, to a great extent. Civilisation has ruined the natural rhythms. But not, I think, entirely.
George Mackay Brown - Letters from Hamnavoe, 1975

I take great delight in the contrast of seasons. I relish the fact that I live in a place where life is different from Summer to Winter and the weather influences how we spend our days and nights.

Today Sunrise was 7.55, but it was probably a good 30 to 45 minutes later before it was truly light. Sunset was 3.51 but the sky was painted with vivid colour for about and hour around that time. Which means that we get plenty of time to sit and watch the sun head for our blip friends on the other side of the planet. Have a good day folks, make sure you send it back when you're done, we need it.... just for a little while.
