A Visit From Santa

I was out on a very cold walk when I became aware of the fire truck siren a couple blocks away. I stepped out onto the street to get a better view and then noticed the white gloved hand waving the red, furry sleeve of a suit with white trim.

I knew immediately that there was no fire and was about to run across the street to be on the same side as the driver when I saw the group of kids and adults. All of them had smiles and the youngsters couldn't stand still.

That's when I realized that I would witness the visit of Santa to the children.
It was great fun to watch and the local news even sent a reporter to the event.
